Currently sitting in my first computers class….Oh wow! This is going to be fantastic…All the computers here are super beefy MacPro’s. who knew — What is really amazing about all of this is the prospect of learning Objective C, as well as some of the other flavors. I’m just SHOCKED we aren’t using Ubuntu. One major part of this class is getting my Linux/Unix/Shell skills up to par. MacOS X provides this, but at a HUGE expense at the university…Lets count now, six computers in each row, times five rows, times like what $2,500 – $4,000 dollars a computer.
I’ve been taking pictures throughout the day, so if you wanna watch my progression, check out the FlickR feed on the right menu, it updates automatically as soon as I take a picture. (I’ll be posting later tonight with a summary of what I like, what is going to be hard and whether I’m going to like this Computer class or not.
