We got a pack of four new Energy Saver 9-watt light bulbs for the kitchen, there was an extra one so I put it in my bedroom. Before I took the old one out, I never realized how HOT an old-school light bulb burns. After adding the new light bulb in and letting it stay on for awhile, there is almost no heat coming from the top. (Amazing!) So if you want to try and maybe cool your room during the summer, I would get some low wattage lamps, totally worth it!
