Why does Link throw pots, you might ask? As you play Link in various Zelda games, you find that underneath pots can be anything from extra Health or Rupees that you can use to buy power ups throughout the game.

The problem with Links addition to picking up pots and seeing what is under them is that he is not able to gently put them down. In order to rid himself of pot he was so eager to look under, he must toss it.

So that bring us to, well us. Why do we throw pots, moreover, why do humans have the urge to throw a pot.

You may say to yourself at this point, “I don’t throw pots, how silly”. Well next time your angry from a long day of work, or you just generally had a bad day. Think about finding the nearest Pot and throwing it. It doesn’t matter where you throw it, just pick it up, check for anything special underneath, throw the pot and collect what you found.

Forget cigarettes, beer or any other illicit drug…When your angry…Chuck a pot, the satisfaction of giving it a good throw will make your day quite enjoyable.

Other Updates:

• P90x has slowed down, I’m going to pick it up tomorrow (Sunday) and restart week 6. Week 6 has been a lazy week.
• I’ve been learning Apache Cassandra, it’s pretty amazing.
• The xcode development continues, Apple has not approved either of my Developer Licenses yet, which makes me frustrated.

This is week 6 of my P90X program, I think I’ve seen results, however I do not feel as if I’ve made a whole lot or progress this week.

I’m currently learning xcode and objective c for the work machine, so far so good. I’ve learned a little more this week and this weekend I hope to progress into some real serious business!

Tuition is due and I just put my Volkswagon into the shop to get a tune up. Turns out the small grinding sound I’ve started to hear in the past week or so were the breaks completely shot. So I’ve got new brakes and rotors. Broke!

Web browser spell check is horrible, Firefox, Chrome all of them have horrible spell checking. I always have to google my words to get the proper spellings. Why isn’t Googles spelling correction built into their browser.

I desperately need my haircut, but I think it will have to wait until the weekend.

Other than that, this summer is going great and I’m happy that I’m being productive and not wasting a whole lot of time with World of Warcraft.

Today Firefox 4 Beta was introduced, I can’t say that I’m totally impressed, but I think they’ve finally caught back up with Chrome after a long hiatus of updates. (After they implement the coming soon features of course.)

So I’ve downloaded Firefox 4 and I’ve read the feature list: Faster Loading, HTML5, CSS3, Sync (Coming Soon). First thing I did was the “Mississippi” test to see how fast it launched. This was the one (MAIN) thing that made me go to Chrome in the first place and now it has been my primary browser for the last 5+ months now. I was happily impressed to see that it is just as fast as Chrome now, and I wish they would have patched the slowness a long time ago.

After discovering that some of the core features that I love about Chrome are not yet available for FF4, I’ve decided to continue to use Chrome. Why? Although Firefox was there for me, when Internet Explorer was so rotten to me…Chrome has made my life easy. I now interact with over 5 computing devices daily (Work Computer, Home Computer, Cell Phone…etc). The biggest feature for me now in a browser is keeping my internet life in-sync, the bookmarks, the history, all of that gooey stuff.

The two major differences between Firefox and Chrome now are basically WebKit(KDE) and Gecko. Over the past 5+ months I’ve learned to love WebKit. Everything seems cleaner and faster. It also seems that Webkit development has lead to a better experience in mastering my standards as well as helped prevent me from coding anything that IE generally doesn’t like. There is some magic of WebKit that I just can’t put my finger on…

The Choice: As you may have guessed, I’m keeping chrome for now. However sometime in November, I want to do a proper head to head review of Firefox 4 VS Chrome.

Lets not forget, IE 9 is right around the corner? Would I ever switch to back IE…Heck no!

I’m so glad that my C experience is finally going to be useful for something. Tomorrow if I have time, I’m going to try and keep working on a bigger project for work to see if I can’t get something running out of it. The “head first” approach has left it quite a mess, at least I haven’t gotten too much into it yet.

One thing that I was expecting to be quite difficult with iOS development was going to be the UI design, which Apple’s Interface Designer makes so easy.

Finally, I’ve been trying to add / commit into SVN as I went along, but I’m getting some crazy errors..There are quite a lot of files that get edited that I yet do not know what they do, so I’ve decided to skip trying to integrate with SVN for now.

I’ve done it! I’ve completed week 4 of P90X! I’m totally happy right now, I barely have anything to say. It’s been fun, hard, challenging and most of all rewarding. I can’t say like the infomercials do “I’m in the best shape of my life”, but I sure feel like I’m on track to be.

*Shuffles legs back and forth while standing in an 8-bit stance*

I was just thinking, that I’m meeting my goals, but isn’t this suppose to be a summer break? I’m having fun….But where is the break….

Woho-ah-woah Todd…Wait just one minute, you can either workout like crazy, have an amazing time at work or go back to Calculus at school…Ok OK, I get it! =]

All-in-all in terms of my personal goals this summer, everything is going great.

—Two of my Highschool buddies started P90X this week it seems as well. It was great to talk to Katie about it and share some of the things that I’ve learned. Keep it up guys, don’t give up the dream! You can do it.

Anyway, I watched it twice and i’m so excited…It’s sad really that this giant part of my teen years will be coming to an end here in less than a year. But at the same time I’m very excited about it! It looks really dark and I love when I see exact parts from the books in the movies. It’s so strange isn’t it, where we are now and where we started with The Sorcerer’s Stone…I love it ^___________^.

PS — To add more to the nerdness tonight, Harry Potter Lego Years 1 – 4 comes out tomorrow. Initially I pre-ordered it on Amazon.com, but after they pushed the release date back a month or whatever they did…I cancelled the order. Then yesterday I saw a review about it again on Mugglenet and thought $30 would be good for all they were describing it to be. I ordered it through Steam, it’s downloaded and installed…Now I just have to wait till tomorrow after work to play it when Steam automatically activates it. (I love this feature — I will be buying MORE games through Steam now.)

I bought a heart monitor watch this past weekend, but it only just arrived for Yoga day on Wednesday…However I didn’t use it for Yoga or Back and Shoulders day, as it would just get in the way. I will go into a small review sometime next week when I have more time and less words since this post has already gone for a walk.

Although my end goal is not to loose weight, I’ve noticed that my muscles are starting to get stronger and more active. At the same time today was the first time I stepped on the scale to find out that in the three week I’ve done the program I’ve lost 5 pounds! (Woot!)
— Like I said, I’m not trying to loose weight, but if  working out gets a few pounds of fat off, and gets more more muscle, then yes that is my ultimate goal.

I must say I’m having quite a lot of fun because school is no in session, but I’m ready to go back so that I can get my degree completed, only a year to go and I’ll be living the dream. =]

As you may have saw yesterday I upgraded to WordPress 3.0 and I love every bit of it. Not only have they improved some of the functionality of the backend that I’ve hated, but I can totally feel my blog being faster and more efficient. Also this new theme that came with the update “Twenty Ten” is perfect. I’ve customized the background image with an awesome space image and the banner at the top use to be static, but is now a cropping of the last picture I took with my camera phone.

As the title states I’m going to spend more time blogging, telling everyone what I’ve been up to, what projects I’ve been working on. Moreover I’m going to be taking more pictures again and sharing what I can of my life with the world wide web.

Updated: Now i have my sweet picture script automatically creating the image at the top of the page based off of my latest image…so awesome. Also I love this themes background customization options, I found this neat space picture and fixed the settings for it just nice….WordPress 3.0 is great!

I’ll have to post some neat snip-its of  code this week, I plan on using this a lot more now that I understand what I can do with it! Say tuned.
