Defeated by Captcha

Everyone knows I’m a huge foreign language “enthusiast” , I love to learn about different cultures and languages, it’s really quite fun. My Japanese has never been anything close to acceptable for reading / listening / speaking, most of the time I just go around and poke at some Japanese websites. I was filling out a form on a Japanese website to see how they present data and have people in Japan fill out there forms, overall I was impressed about the registration process, started filling out my information and the final step….a Japanese Captcha…something that I’ve never thought about that a Captcha breaks is the language barrier. If your not fluent in the language the Captcha is written in, your screwed. After spending 5 minutes or so trying to find the proper letters for each letter, I gave up but thought this experience was worth a blog post.
